Junjung Hijau collaborated with Sabah State Government for a better agro-related future.

14 August 2022 - Sabah State Goverment's MAFI Permanent Secretary, Datuk Mariana Tinngal welcomes interest shown by Junjung Hijau to establish direct trade relations with Sabah. The discussion after Junjung Hijau's presentation was indeed very informative and participation of Sabah team is lively and candid. Mariana said in addition to trade and education initiatives, she aims to promote Sabah agro-tourism attractions not only in Uzbekistan and Pakistan but also neighbouring countries that have ties to them.

Price of fertilisers (and raw materials) has increased over the years causing cost of production. So far Junjung Hijau have any see sign of the price to go down to the level before the pandemic. The war Russia-Ukraine also does not help. During our meeting, Junjung Hijau have highlighted on the alternative solutions to overcome the rising production cost. Junjung Hijau are keen to discuss further on the possible usage of organic based fertilizers.

During the meeting it was highlighted that there are opportunities where Junjung Hijau can explore collaboration with Koperasi Pembangunan Desa (KPD) and Fishing Department to assist in the distribution and possibly export of farm and seafood produce from Sabah. Junjung Hijau are keen to explore this area.

Junjung Hijau met RISDA Venture

Junjung Hijau will collaborate and assist RISDA Venture in utilising the latest available technology to improve their efficiency and productivity to achieve better earnings from the crop. Both parties have shown interest in venturing new market in relate to national food security and the new kind of smart farming. RISDA Venture CEO said other than increasing the productivity and income of smallholders, traceability and sustainability are key information that consumers look for as assurance that the agro food product they are consuming are of the highest quality, ethically produced and environmentally sustainable.

The technology, deployed in certain estates in Malaysia, has seen promising results, thus deploying in agro food industries can provide better datasets, in a holistic approach to deliver a system that solves crop monitoring in Malaysia. It is hope that RISDA plantation can also benefit from the technology to fully digitalise their operations.

Junjung Hijau met Produktif Sepakat

Bilateral initial trade talks between Junjung Hijau Sdn Bhd and Produktif Sepakat Consulting Engineers were conducted with ideas and exchanged lists of request and offers on products of interest for both parties in Kelana Jaya, Selangor.
